ViewSonic supports and sells display technologies, including flat panels and projectors, in numerous markets and countries around the world. The Web site must support a variety of goals, including customer sales support, technical support and education, e-commerce, channel support, and a variety of evolving marketing efforts. The site must support changes quickly and assist users in solving problems themselves whenever possible.
Challenge
- ViewSonic's existing content management system was difficult to use, inflexible, and caused delivery issues.
- The seasonality of consumer electronics marketing efforts made it difficult to apply Web staff when needed.
- The site needed to support a range of channels and business relationships, both online and offline.
Solution
- Custom content management was introduced, with a heavy emphasis on product-focused management.
- Marketing and site support for visual design, content updates and Flash were brought on as needed via PINT.
- Numerous on-site and external self-service systems, including product finders, were introduced.
Results
